M72 World Tour.
Metallica’s M72 World Tour is a massive “no repeat weekend” stadium tour supporting the band’s eleventh studio album, 72 Seasons. Announced on November 28, 2022 following the release of the lead single Lux Æterna, the tour officially began on April 27, 2023 in Amsterdam and is scheduled to conclude with the final 2026 dates scheduled for November 21, 2026 in Uncasville, Connecticut. Most cities on the tour host two or more performances, giving fans a different experience each evening.
The production features a massive 360-degree in-the-round stage with the iconic “Snake Pit” positioned at the center, alongside two unique setlists and rotating opening acts for each night. As of December 2025, the tour had grossed $517.5 million from 70 shows and attracted 4.23 million attendees, making it one of the highest-grossing tours of the 2020s and among the most successful tours of all time.
